Rachel York is known to Wharton Center audiences from her star turn as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes last season, and earlier in Kiss Me, Kate and 101 Dalmatians. She is also known for her Broadway performances in City of Angels, Les Mise?rables and Victor/Victoria. On Sunday, November 24, 2013, Rachel York will perform on the Pasant Theatre stage for an extraordinary night of dancing, singing and comedy. Tickets are $37.00 and are available online at whartoncenter.com, at the Auto-Owners Ticket Office, or by calling 1- 800-WHARTON.

This Drama Desk award winner can do it all! Her debut solo album, Let's Fall in Love, has been an enormous success since its release in 2005 and was named one of the Top Ten Vocal CDs of the year by Talkin' Broadway. She has been in numerous films that include the CBS made-for- television movie, Lucy. She has also been in numerous Tony Award-winning Broadway productions.

Rachel was born in Orlando, Florida, the youngest of four children. Her passion for music and acting was ignited at an early age as she listened to her mother sing and play the piano. At 17, Rachel enjoyed her professional debut. She was cast in the singing chorus of a dinner theater production of Kiss Me, Kate. In true Peggy Sawyer fashion, Rachel was asked to go on for the lead with very short notice and gave a wonderfully received performance. Join us at Wharton Center for this intimate cabaret performance by one of the stars of Broadway!
