Mid-Michigan's award winning professional theatre company, Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam Street in downtown Williamston, celebrates the importance of family this holiday season with Over the River and Through the Woods by Joe DiPietro. Performances begin Friday, November 29 and run through Sunday, December 29. Tickets for this heartfelt, clever comedy are now on sale.

Over the River and Through the Woods begins with five Preview performances starting Friday, November 29 at 3PM. During the first four Previews audience members will have the opportunity to take part in the process of creating a show by participating in a talkback session with the director following each performance. The Official Opening Night is Friday, December 6 with the show scheduled to run through Sunday, December 29. Performances will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at eight o'clock and Sunday matinees at two o'clock with additional three o'clock matinees on Saturdays starting December 7.

Meet Nick - a single guy from New Jersey with four adoring, and adorable, grandparents. Nick's grandparents believe in the 3 F's: Family, faith and food. Every Sunday Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma fold Nick into their warmth for a traditional dinner with "la famiglia", and try to impart to him the importance of family, a good meal and a good wife. When he tells them of his plans to move across the country for the job of his dreams, the news doesn't sit so well. They go into full crisis mode and pull out every scheme in the book to get him to stay close to home - including baiting him with pretty Caitlin O'Hara, the girl next door. This warm, witty, beautiful story is one to share with your family this holiday season.

The cast of Over the River and Through the Woods consists of Arthur J. Beer (Ebenezer), Mary Bremer, Carolyn Conover, Dave Daoust, Andrew Faber and Gloria Vivalda (The Effect of Gamma Rays). The Director is Williamston Theatre's Artistic Director, Tony Caselli. The production team includes Set Design by Daniel C. Walker (Shirley Valentine, The Usual: A Musical Love Story), Lighting Design by Brian Scruggs, Costume Design by Holly Iler (10:53, The Usual: A Musical Love Story), Sound Design by Aral Gribble and Prop Design by Bruce Bennett (Shirley Valentine, boom). The Stage Manager is Stefanie Din.
