Who Wants Cake? is excited to present Margaret Edwartowski's GPS-winning short play, My Dull Friend. After overwhelmingly winning the audience favorite award at the 2010 GPS Festival, My Dull Friend will receive a limited engagement run at The Ringwald Theatre. Performances for My Dull Friend closes March 13th. Tickets are $5 for all performances and can be reserved online at www.WhoWantsCakeTheatre.com or by phone at 248-545-5545.

My Dull Friend tells the story of Emily, a lonely-ish woman of a certain age who has a distinct fondness for her cats. Deciding to step out of her comfort zone, Emily places an ad on a website and is hooked up with a fabulous new friend, Michael. After meeting (and discussing important topics like makeovers and boys) Emily decides to put herself out in the world. Emily soon realizes that, with her new Gay Best Friend at her side, her life will never be the same!

My Dull Friend is written by Margaret Edwartowski and features Emily Clark, Brian E. Bruckner, and Brett Thurmond. The production is directed by Gary Lehman.

Who Wants Cake? opened the doors to their resident home, The Ringwald, in May 2007 with Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy. Quickly, The Ringwald became a mainstay of Detroit's theatre community. Since opening their doors, Who Wants Cake? has been offering up slice after slice of successful shows including Southern Baptist Sissies, Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical, Killer Joe, The Bad Seed, The Book of Liz, Rent, and Evil Dead: The Musical. Who Wants Cake? was named 2009 Best Theatrical Troupe by Real Detroit.

My Dull Friend runs from March 4th through March 13th at 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights with 5pm Sunday matinees. Ticket prices are $5.00 for all performances. Reservations may be made by phone at 248-545-5545 or online at www.WhoWantsCakeTheatre.com. The box office opens 45 minutes before performances and tickets can be purchased at the door with cash or Visa/Mastercard.
