About Jeff Daniels' Onstage & Unplugged: A prolific songwriter as well as playwright, Jeff Daniels (PRTC Founder) will perform an arsenal of songs that are alternately humorous and poignant. Daniels has toured nationally with his music, but has reduced his concert appearances since landing his Emmy winning lead role on HBO's acclaimed series The Newsroom. "Jeff's got an incredibly busy schedule now, so we're honored that he's able to fit in these concerts during his holiday break," says PRTC Artistic Director Guy Sanville.

About The Vast Difference by Jeff Daniels: In this 20th anniversary production, George Noonan is having a mid-life crisis. The father of five girls and a flight attendant for a small Midwestern airline, he is scheduled to have a vasectomy. As he works up the courage to go through with the procedure, George becomes reflective on his struggles with his career, living up to his father's expectations, and the nature of "being a man" in the modern world. The Vast Difference contains mild adult language and themes.

Founded in 1991, The Purple Rose Theatre Company is dedicated to producing the new American play and creating opportunities for Midwest theatre professionals. The PRTC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit theatre operating under a Small Professional Theatre agreement with the Actors' Equity Association. The PRTC promotes the development of new American theatre and its practitioners, provides valuable educational opportunities for young artists, and, through consistently high quality production values, has earned the respect of both local and national theatre communities.
