Go U! The Improv Academy Announces Open House, 3/4

Go U! The Improv Academy will host a FREE open house at Go Comedy! Improv Theater, 261 E Nine Mile Road in Ferndale from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 4. Anyone who is interested in improvisation, sketch comedy writing and acting is welcome to attend and meet with instructors and current students. Complimentary pizza and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided and there will be a free improv set by The Teacher's Lounge, an improv team comprised of GoU! instructors. Guests will also be able to register for the next term of classes which begin on March 10.

"We wanted to give people a chance to get to know the teachers and a little bit about GoU! before they signed up for classes," stated Go U! Director Pj Jacokes, "It can be a big investment and we want people to know they've made the right choice." 

Since 2008, hundreds of students have taken classes at Go U! The Improv Academy. In its beginning, classes were held on off-nights and weekends in the theatre's location at 261 E Nine Mile Road. In the fall of 2009, the academy expanded into the nearby 243 E Nine Mile Road storefront allowing additional classes and storage space for the growing comedy theater. Now, the academy will again expand into the immediately adjacent, 255 East Nine Mile storefront, giving the Improv Theater and Academy additional classroom and office space allowing more classes and more students.
