Having begun a successful run of "Driving Miss Daisy", the Network is shifting some of its focus to additional programming. Every Saturday, beginning October 4, the Network will host a free Story Time at 11 a.m. for children ages 3-8 where a staff member will read from popular children's books. The following week the Network's Wednesday Night Concert Series begins with a concert reading of "An Iliad" performed by John Manfredi on Wednesday, October 8 and 15 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the concert reading are $15 and may be purchased online at www.pntheatre.org or by calling the box office at 734-663-0681.

"One of the many reasons we are excited about reinventing the Network are the abundant possibilities for using the space," said Sara Dean, the Network's Company Manager. "Story Time and the Wednesday Night Concert Series offer fun and different experiences than the stage shows."

In November, the Network's Late Night Friday series will begin with offerings such as open mic night, music, poetry, improv, comedy and episodic theatre. In the winter, a free demo will be held focusing on class options for the spring and what the classes will be like.

"I'm looking forward to seeing "An Iliad," said Artistic Director Suzi Regan. "I was disappointed I missed it the first time around. John just recently won the Best Actor honor from Encore Michigan for it and people around here are still talking about it so its very exciting. It's a great kickoff for our series."

Now through October 26 is the ever popular "Driving Miss Daisy" directed by 2014 Pulsar Award winner for Best Director and two time 2014 Wilde Award winner John Manfredi. The project reunites Manfredi and James Bowen last seen together at the Network in the critically acclaimed "K2". Manfredi and Bowen teamed up on an earlier version of "Daisy" almost a decade ago and garnered awards for Best Play, Best Actor, Best Director and the show was named one of the year's top ten by the Detroit Free Press. Performances of "Driving Miss Daisy" take place Thursday through Sunday through October 26, 2014. Long time Detroit sports and entertainment executive Tom Wilson co-produces "Driving Miss Daisy" which will also play a limited engagement at the City Theatre in Detroit starting October 30, 2014.
