THE CRAZY TIME, a crazy comedy by Sam Bobrick, is the 108th live theatrical production to be presented at Eastpointe's Broadway Onstage Live Theatre when it opens on Friday, February 19, 2010. Running Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Select Sundays at 2pm through Saturday, March 20, this topical comedy uniquely tells the tale of an older married man who is smitten by a younger woman and divorces his wife to marry his paramour.

Select Sunday Matinees are only performed at Broadway Onstage when a prearranged group of 30 or more is scheduled to attend. Broadway Onstage Live Theatre is located at 21517 Kelly Rd. at Toepfer (8 ½ Mile Rd.) in Eastpointe. It is the home of the patented TeeVeeStageTM Presentation system, which employs cameras above the audience and monitors above the stage to provide audience members with different viewing perspectives of the live stage performance. Broadway Onstage Live Theatre is also the home of Dennis Wickline Productions, Inc., which began producing Non-Equity professional live theatre on the Eastside of Detroit in February of 1980.

THE CRAZY TIME introduces us to Miles Gladstone. In the opening of the play Miles is married to his never seen trophy wife, Meagan. Meagan, the hot new wife, has taken Miles away from his wife of thirty-two years, Kate. Miles' business partner, Jerry, appears throughout the play and sincerely drools over Miles relationship with the much younger Meagan. We also meet Susan, Miles' daughter, who is being cheated on by her own husband (at least she thinks so) and goes to Miles for advice on the nature of cheating. As the play progresses, Jerry cheats Miles out of his company, Meagan quickly leaves him and Susan's marriage does start to crumble. Worse yet, MiLes Wants his ex-wife back, but she has had a complete make-over and is involved with someone half her age, a young man named Dirk. Is there a happy ever after? Not for this guy!

This totally entertaining comedy is by the veteran playwright of NORMAN IS THAT YOU?, MURDER AT THE Howard Johnson'S and REMEMBER ME, Sam Bobrick. It is a sincere delight!
The cast of THE CRAZY TIME at Broadway Onstage is exceptional. Portraying Miles is Broadway Onstage producer Dennis Wickline. Mr. Wickline is the producer of all productions at Broadway Onstage and was last seen there as David O' Selznick there in MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS in the fall of 2008. Olivia Wickline, Mr. Wickline's wife, will take on the role of Kate, Miles' ex-wife. Ms. Wickline was just featured in the David Schwimmer film TRUST which filmed in the Ann Arbor area last fall. Tony Amato takes on the role of Jerry, Miles' business partner. Mr. Amato was last seen at Broadway Onstage in WEEKEND COMEDY two seasons ago. Sharron Nelson will be seen as Susan. Ms. Nelson appeared in THE WEREWOLF OF THE FULL MOON at Broadway Onstage this past fall. Broadway Onstage favorite John Arden McClure completes the cast as Dirk, Kate's dude. Mr. McClure was also seen in THE WEREWOLF OF THE FULL MOON last fall. The production is under the able direction of Shirley Biggs-Urkshus. Ms. Biggs-Urkshus has directed a number of productions at Broadway Onstage, including WEEKEND COMEDY two seasons ago and last season's ART OF MURDER.
