Off-Center @ The Jones presents their latest collaboration, AUDIO KICKS, developed by Off-Center Curators Emily Tarquin and Charlie Miller, at The Jones March 1-2 & 8-9. Tickets may be purchased now, by calling 303.893.4100 or visiting www.denverOFFcenter.org/audio-kicks.

AUDIO KICKS is an experiment in isolated collaboration combining photography, audio, and dance. First, ten photos were taken by Jennifer Davidson of Lucé and then ten audio artists were chosen to create an original piece or select an existing piece in response to the photo given to them. Now 3rd Law Dance/Theater will create a cohesive performance around the audio and accompanying photos and perform it live at The Jones.

When Tarquin and Miller commissioned photographer Jennifer Davidson, they asked her to photograph a subject that was interesting to her. She chose shoes and was inspired by the story of the wearer of the shoes. To accompany the photos through audio, Tarquin and Miller selected ten local musicians including Bop Skizzum, Ryan Conway & Kevin Dykstra, Danielle Ate the Sandwich, Bobby Dartt, Kyle Dickey, Tom Hagerman of DeVotchKa, Julie Stratton, Andy Sydow, Varlet and Wire Faces. 3rd Law Dance/Theater then created a performance around the photography and audio to complete the production and will present it live starting March 1. AUDIO KICKS is an interconnected experience where the audience will get to "see it come together."
