SSG is happy to announce our 10th Anniversary Season. We can't wait to share all of the excitement we have planned for the coming year!

This season, Stolen Shakespeare Guild is producing eight great shows. Since this is a special year for us, we have chosen our two favorite Shakespeare plays for the Stolen Shakespeare Festival, we are introducing an entirely new festival that focuses on other classic playwrights, and of course continuing are popular Jane Austen and Summer Musical Series.

Tickets are on-sale at our website www.stolenshakespeareguild.org. All performances are at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center in the Sanders Theater, 1300 Gendy St. Fort Worth, TX.

Season Ticket $104.00 (8 shows for $13.00 each) A season ticket allows you to attend all 8 shows for the 2016 - 2017 Season. You are allowed at no charge to change your reservation with 48 hours' notice as long as the performance you want to change it to is not already sold out.

Opening Night Preview Pass $72.00 (8 shows for $9.00 each) Attend all eight opening nights of the 2016 - 2017 Season. There is a $10.00 charge per ticket to move reservation.

October 14th - 30th 2016

TARTUFFE : Wealthy Monsieur Orgon has welcomed Tartuffe, an evangelical fraud, into his home. Tartuffe threatens to marry Orgon's daughter, seduces his wife, and steals his property from right under his nose. Tartuffe's scandalous behavior is exposed in the nick of time. The master of classic French comedy has created a saucy, sparkling confection that speaks to our times. Teeming with lively humor and satirical plot devices, this timeless comedy by one of France's greatest and most influential playwrights will leave you laughing.

A DOLL'S HOUSE: Doll's House richly displays the genius with which Henrik Ibsen pioneered modern, realistic drama. In the central character of Nora, Ibsen epitomized the human struggle against the humiliating constraints of social conformity. Nora's ultimate rejection of a smothering marriage and life in "a doll's house" shocked theatergoers of the late 1800s and opened new horizons for playwrights and their audiences.

December 2nd - 18th 2016

The classic Christmas story of a bitter old miser named Ebenezer Scrooge and his transformation into a gentler, kindlier man after visitations by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Yet to Come.

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST by William Shakespeare
February 11th - March 5th 2017

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING: Claudio loves Hero and Hero Claudio and nothing seems capable of tearing them apart. Claudio's friend Benedick loves Beatrice and Beatrice Benedick, but nothing seems capable of bringing them together. Much Ado About Nothing is a miracle of comic and dramatic suspense and gives us, in the bantering Beatrice and Benedick, one of Shakespeare's wittiest, most lovable pair of lovers.

LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST: Shakespeare's classic love story, a king and his lords swear to avoid women but can't keep their oaths. A play full of disguises, poetry, hilarity, and romance.

SENSE AND SENSIBILITY by Jane Austen
April 15th - 30th 2017

Sisters Elinor and Marianne find themselves captivated by two very different men. Sensible Elinor is charmed by the quiet, bumbling goodness of Edward, while passionate Marianne is swept off of her feet by the dashing and mysterious Willoughby. When complications arise, the sisters are forced to rely upon themselves and one another to weather their heartache and learn that when sense and sensibility meet, love can't be far behind.

July 8th - 23rd 2017

ON THE TOWN is the tale of Three Sailors on a 24-hour leave from their ship docked in this fabulous city. Memorable musical numbers include Come Up to My Place, Lucky to Be Me, Some Other Time and New York, New York. It's an uplifting, fun show with energy and verve.

GREASE Book, Music, and Lyrics by Jim Jacobs & WarRen Casey
August 11th -27th 2017

Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "T-Birds" and their gum-snapping, hip shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin'", "It's Raining on Prom Night", and "Alone at the Drive-In Movie".
