Cesear's Forum will present PERHAPS, PERICLES, attributed to William Shakespeare and George Wilkins, as adapted by Greg Cesear, at Kennedy's Down Under, Playhouse Square, Cleveland, Ohio, in a limited April/May engagement. The play centers on the role of family in society, individual identity and epic storytelling. In the production adaptation, four actors begin to read and analyze the text, streamlining the action. PERHAPS, PERICLES, lends itself to comedy while still maintaining the psychological and political journey of its drama.

The extent of collaboration between Shakespeare and Wilkins is unknown, as is the textual amalgamation. The play has proven popular, largely because the story's context allows for production interpretation. Cesear's Forum will approach the work with characteristic minimalism. The Cleveland cast includes: John Kolibab, Tricia Bestic, Gilgamesh Taggett and Rachel Wolin. The production will be staged by Artistic Director Greg Cesear, with a setting by Michael LaRochelle, lighting by Andrew Kaletta and costumes by Aimee Kluiber. The production is sponsored, in part, by Cuyahoga Arts and Culture, the Bonne Bell Family Foundation and the Ohio Arts Council.
