As part of its continuing commitment to offering the best in family entertainment, First Folio Theatre has added a special low-priced matinee performance to its outdoor summer schedule. The 50-Minute Midsummer Night's Dream is an abbreviated version of Shakespeare's most popular comedy and the perfect introduction to the Bard's works. Thanks to a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, First Folio is able to reduce ticket prices to only $5 for both adults and children for this special matinee performance on August 1 at 4:00.

Filled with mischief-loving fairies, mixed-up lovers, and a man with the head of an ass, A Midsummer Night's Dream has delighted audiences for over 400 years. Families can laugh together at Puck, Oberon, Bottom and all the rest as they try to sort out their love-torn lives. And when the Mechanicals perform the tale of Pyramus and Thisbe, audience members will find out why Shakespeare has been keeping people laughing for centuries!

This performance will take place on First Folio's outdoor stage on the grounds of the Mayslake Peabody Estate, which is owned and operated by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. Located at 31st St. and Rt. 83 in Oak Brook, First Folio is easy to get to from either the East-West Tollway (I-88) or the Stevenson Expressway (I-55).

First Folio Theatre is supported in part by grants from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency, and The DuPage Community Foundation
