Chess, Glee, West Side Story with Tony Award Nominee Josefina Scaglione - PRiMA has brought these large stage productions to life and now comes the biggest to date. PRiMA Theatre will present Elton John & Tim Rice's AIDA at Steinman Hall at the Ware Center today, September 8, and again on September 15 (2pm, 7pm).

PRiMA's production of AIDA boasts a 100-person chorale and a multi-cultural cast with Broadway credits. Dan Deal directs the cast led by Latasha Whitmore (International Tour of Hairspray), Jay Poff (The Last Five Years) and Andrea McCormick (Broadway's Wizard of Oz, Footloose and Artistic Director of American Music Theatre).

Elton John and Tim Rice's AIDA is a contemporary musical take on a grand classic tale of the timeless bond between an enslaved Nubian princess and an Egyptian soldier. As forbidden love blossoms between them, the young lovers are forced to face death or part forever. Together, they set a shining example of true devotion that ultimately transcends the vast cultural differences between their warring nations, heralding a time of unprecedented peace and prosperity.

With a pop-rock score that features stirring ballads and rousing choral numbers, Elton John and Tim Rice's AIDA is a modern crowd pleaser with exuberant dancing, staging and singing. Songs include 'Easy as Life,' 'Written In The Stars' and 'Fortune Favors The Brave.'

PRiMA's 2013 season is made possible by Corporate & Producer Circle Sponsors, Faulkner BMW, Willow Valley Retirement Communities and FIG Magazine.
