DreamWrights Youth & Family Theatre is partnering with York County Libraries in 2015 to encourage local families to engage their children more frequently in reading and live theatre entertainment. Many of DreamWrights upcoming performances are derived from classic stories in literature, which led to the 2015 partnership designed to increase awareness for both parties in the community.

"We wanted to create a partnership with the libraries that would encourage people to read more books and to see them brought to life on the stage," said Ann Davis, DreamWrights Executive Director. "We believe that the cross promotion of our services will strengthen each of us."

Each York County library will be asked to help support the partnership by hosting a display for each DreamWrights production. The displays will include the corresponding literature, as well as posters, postcards and drawings for ticket giveaways. Ticket giveaway winners will receive two tickets to see the literature brought to life on DreamWrights' stage in 2015.

"We hope to reach those library-goers who haven't yet enjoyed literature on stage right here in York," said Davis. "And we also hope to encourage our theatre-goers to visit their local libraries, as the world of books is so incredibly vast."
