Camelback Resort will open for day and night skiing and snowboarding on Thursday, Dec. 15, officially launching its 53rd ski season. The Snowtubing Park, the largest in the nation, will open on Saturday, Dec. 17. Operating hours, ticket pricing, trail and lift status, web cam and snow report are available at www.Camelbackresort.com.

"We're experiencing ideal snowmaking conditions and have been running the snowguns around the clock, allowing us to open more terrain literally day after day," said Brian Czarnecki, vice president of sales & marketing. "We'll open Thursday with really fantastic conditions due to the man-made snow and the near foot of snow that has fallen already this season. With ideal snowmaking temperatures into late next week we anticipate excellent conditions and a fully opened mountain for the Christmas Holiday week."

Camelback Resort offers close-to-home winter fun for beginners to aficionados from northeastern and central PA, along with the markets of NYC, Long Island, NJ and Philadelphia. Guests can come for the day, or stay at Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark and experience Camelback Resort's many indoor and outdoor amenities. Camelback offers the nation's best Ski, Splash & Stay package! A one-night stay includes accommodations at the slope-side Camelback Lodge, access to the 84-degree Aquatopia, the largest indoor waterpark in the Northeast, and up to four free lift tickets and snowtubing tickets, up to a $267 value, with additional add-on lift and snowtubing tickets available at discounted prices. Some date restrictions apply.

Camelback Resort offers 34 trails all illuminated for night skiing and snowboarding, 16 lifts, 100% snowmaking, and the largest snowtubing park in the U.S.A. On the heels of the $163 million Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark, on Wed., Dec. 21, Camelback Resort will debut Galactic Snowtubing, home of the new Base Camp 1 Lodge. This out-of-this-world, after-dark snowtubing experience features laser lit lanes and an amazing LED light show across the 42-lane Snowtubing Park.

Named the #1 place in America to learn to ski and snowboard by the Huffington Post, Camelback Resort is the recipient of the coveted Conversion Cup from the National Ski Area Association for excellence in beginner programs, in particular, their Terrain Based Learning programs.

Camelback Resort continues to reinvent itself since opening in 1963 with 14 trails and three lifts serving 41,656 skiers. Today Camelback serves more than 1.7 million outdoor enthusiasts and visitors annually with 34 trails, 16 lifts, 100% snowmaking, the largest snowtubing park in the U.S.A., Camelback Mountain Adventures (featuring the only mountain coaster in Pa, and North America's longest twin 4,000 ft. Twin Zip-Flyers), Camelbeach Waterpark (the largest waterpark in Pa.) and Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark.
