Fort Caspar Museum has organized a new exhibit to honor one of Casper's most successful and beloved homegrown efforts: "TROOPERS: Celebrating 60 Years of the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps." This exhibit will be on view April 4, 2017 to November 3, 2018.

The Troopers have had an interesting history. Over the past six decades, they have played for millions of people all over the country. They have appeared at venues ranging from evening performances at small Wyoming high schools to halftime shows at professional football stadiums, and from Casper parades to the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, CA. The Troopers have traveled from coast to coast, winning multiple championships, pioneering the inclusion of both boys and girls to the corps ranks, and introducing new elements to their performances such as curved marching lines. They have gone from a group of local youth to college-age recruits from around the country and the world. The exhibit will feature instruments, color guard props, uniforms, photographs, and memorabilia obtained from the Troopers organization and from past members.

We are pleased to announce that there will be a free performance for the public by the Troopers in conjunction with the exhibit on the grounds of Fort Caspar on Wednesday, July 12th from 7:00 to 8:00pm: bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the show.

Fort Caspar Museum's hours in April are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesdays through Saturdays, and admission prices are $1.50 for adults; $1.00 for youth (ages 13-18 years); and free for children (12 years and younger) and for Museum members. In May, the Museum will switch to summer hours and fees which are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily and $3.00 for adults; $2.00 for youth (ages 13-18 years); and free for children (12 years and younger) and for Museum members.
