Fort Caspar Museum continues its FREE summer lecture series with "Amelia Earhart: Angel of Flight" today, June 22nd at 6:30 pm. Join Miss "V" as she steps into the shoes of the world's most famous and beloved aviatrix in this thoughtful, well-scripted, and unique approach to the life and work of Ms. Earhart.

Before her disappearance over the Pacific Ocean, Amelia Earhart and her husband spent time in Wyoming at the Double D Ranch outside of Meeteetse in the early 1930s. The couple even planned to build a cabin near the old mining town of Kirwin. Miss "V," who herself fell in love with the back country of Wyoming, is also a musician and a skilled rancher, and she currently resides in Thermopolis.

The next lecture in the series will be on Wednesday, June 29th with Ray Maple who will present "Tom O'Day."

The free Summer Lecture Series is held on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm, from June 8th to July 20th. Each presentation will focus on a different "Impression on Wyoming," from past to present and from east to west. These free programs are funded in part by the Fort Caspar Museum Association and the Wyoming Humanities Council.
