Robert Osborne returns to Café Sabarsky to celebrate his new recording: Who Wants Love? Cabaret and Film Songs of Franz Waxman. The program features rarities in German, French, and English that trace Waxman's beginnings in Weimar-era Germany, to his later years as a political exile, and finally to Hollywood, where he composed some of the most iconic film scores.

Prix-fixe dinner begins at 7 p.m., followed by performance at 9 p.m.

Total ticket cost is $140 (performance $65; dinner $75)

The Cabaret Series continues its union of modern Austrian cuisine with classic European music of the 1890s to 1930s, experienced within the period-inspired Café Sabarsky.

Guests enjoy a three-course, prix-fixe menu beginning at 7 p.m., followed by the performance at 9 p.m. in the intimate setting of the Café. The 60-seat room is exquisitely appointed with Wiener Werkstätte designs, including lighting fixtures by Josef Hoffmann and furniture by Adolf Loos, and also features a magnificent Bösendorfer grand piano. Performances are dedicated to some of the most fertile and volatile music created in the modern era-Austrian and German Cabaret, and the genre's commitment to questioning social mores through humor, storytelling, and wit.
