Broadway veteran, recording artist, and San Diego resident Janene Lovullo will perform her latest cabaret concert "Broadway, Intimate" at the Arthur Newman Theater in the Joslyn Center on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 2 PM. Inspired by songs from the Broadway stage, Ms. Lovullo and musical director Christopher Marlowe have combined standards into a new contemporary style that highlights Janene's incredible instrument that can go from dynamic to a whisper.

Janene's Broadway roles include Grisabella in Cats, Fantine in Les Miserables, and Isabel in Pirates Of Penzancein addition to numerous national tours and regional theater in the Southern California area with leads in South Pacific, Music Man, George M, Kiss Me Kate, Lil' Abner, and Fiddler On The Roof, to name a few. Christopher Marlowe is touted as one of the industries best, notably as arranger and pianist to the late Nancy Lamott and working with David Friedman on many of her 8 CD's. On the subject of CD's, Janene recently released one entitled "Broadway, Intimate" to add to her previous CD, "This Moment", and it has already received glowing reviews.

"Broadway, Intimate" starring Janene Lovullo with piano accompaniment by Musical Director Christopher Marlowe, will be presented at 2 PM on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Arthur Newman Theater in The Joslyn Center, 73750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert as part of the Sundays In Summer Series from Les Michaels Life Is A Cabaret Entertainment.
