New Comedy/Horror Film from Creator of CRANK Opens at RST

Mom and Dad is not about Ozzie & Harriet or Carol and Mike Brady from The Brady Bunch. Not even close. It's more like The Brady Bunch Meets The Night of The Living Dead. The co-creator of the hugely successful Crank action movie series (starring Jason Statham), Brian Taylor, has written and directed Mom and Dad. Taylor has also directed Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and Gamer. The film opens this Friday, January 19 and plays through Sunday (1/21) at the River Street Theatre in Jaffrey.

Mom and Dad delivers devilishly fun horror. For 24 hours, parents all over the world wreak violent havoc on their children, and a teenage girl and her little brother must fight for their survival while escaping the unrestrained wrath of their mother and father. Mom and Dad stars Oscar© winner Nicolas Cage (Raising Arizona, Leaving Las Vegas, The Rock, Moonstruck) and Selma Blair (Cruel Intentions, Hellboy, Highway). Mom and Dad won the Best Director prize at Barcelona's Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival in 2017. It was also nominated for Best Film at the same festival.

Showtimes for Mom and Dad are Friday/Saturday, January 19 & 20, both at 7pm. Matinee presentations will play at 2pm on Saturday/Sunday, January 20 & 21.

Tickets for Mom and Dad (Rated R) are $8.00. Seniors, military, students, TEACHERS are $7.00. More program and schedule information, as well as ticket purchases, can be found at riverst.org or by calling the RST Box Office (603) 532-8888. The after-hours box office can be reached by calling OvationTix at (866) 811-4111.

The River Street Theatre is located in downtown Jaffrey, New Hampshire at 6 River Street. The River Street Theatre is sponsored by Grove Street Fiduciary, Coca-Cola, the Board of Trustees of the Park Theatre, Janet S. Grant, Betty Locke, Owen Houghton and the James F. & Fernande Kelly Charitable Trust.
