Jennifer Lawrence has broken the silence regarding the rumors surrounding her and David O. Russell.

The Academy Award-winner posted on her Facebook page on Friday afternoon, saying,

"Hey guys! It's Jen! I know I don't go on here a lot because I can barely work email but there's been a terrible rumor going around the last 24 hours so I wanted to clear it up."

In reference to rumors that there had been some tension between the star and the JOY director David O. Russell, she says, "David O. Russell is one of my closest friends and we have an amazing collaborative working relationship. I ADORE this man and he does not deserve this tabloid malarkey. This movie is going great and I'm having a blast making it!"

Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence will next appear in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, Joy and X-Men: Apocalypse. Among her film credits are Serena, X-Men: Days of Future Past, American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook, the first two Hunger Games films and Winter's Bone.
