The New York Post reports that HBO is holding off on an upcoming original film based on the Penn State sex SCANDAL due to budgetary issues.

A-lister Al Pacino is set to take on the role of legendary football coach Joe Paterno in the film to be titled "Happy Valley." Brian De Palma will helm the project.

The Post reports that both Pacino and De Palma are using Amir Bar-Lev's current documentary on the subject, also titled "Happy Valley," for their research. "Al and De Palma are watching the film to do research on the characters," said a source at a MoMA screening of the film.
