According to TVLine.com, Annie Potts has just been cast as veterinarian George's (played by Justin Kirk) mother Virginia in NBC's Animal Practice.

Virginia is described as, "snobbish, racist, and utterly self-absorbed. But much like her son, deep down she has something resembling a heart."
