Santa Cruz, CA-based reggae-rock-metal band THE EXPENDABLES will kick start 2015 with the January 13 release of their sixth full-length studio album SAND IN THE SKY (Stoopid Records) and then hit the road on their annual "Winter Blackout Tour" from January through March.

SAND IN THE SKY-mixed by Butthole Surfer guitarist and legendary producer Paul Leary (Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, U2, Weezer) and co-produced by THE EXPENDABLES and Gordon Brislawn (who was a co-producer on their Getting' Filthy album)--features the new song "Starry Night," currently available as a free download via http://sandinthesky.com. Those that pre-order the 12-track album viaiTunes (HERE) will also receive an instant download of "Starry Night" along with another new track, "Music Move Me." SAND IN THE SKY marks the follow up to their 2010 full-length album Prove It (Stoopid Records), which debuted at #4 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart and #30 on the Independent Chart, and 2012's acoustic album Gone Soft. THE EXPENDABLES--Geoff Weers (guitar/vocals), Adam Patterson (drums/vocals), Raul Bianchi (lead guitar) and Ryan DeMars(bass)--will hit the road starting Friday, January 23 in Ventura, CA. Their 40-date outing--featuring support from BALLYHOO! (on select dates), Fortunate Youth (on select dates) and Katastro (on all dates)--will then stop in Los Angeles at the House of Blues Sunset Stripon Saturday, January 24 before making its way north to Sacramento, Portland, Seattle and Eugene. Next, the band will head east stopping in Park City, Aspen, Denver, Omaha, Minneapolis, Madison, Indianapolis, Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia andBurlington before hitting New York City on Thursday, February 19 at Highline Ballroom. The "Winter Blackout Tour" then moves on to Asbury Park, Washington, DC, Boston, Atlanta, Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Baton Rouge, Austin,Houston, Dallas, San Francisco and Santa Ana before wrapping Sunday, March 15 in San Diego. THE EXPENDABLES will also celebrate the holiday season with two hometown shows at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz duringThanksgiving week (Wednesday, November 26 and Saturday, November 29) along with a special New Year's Eve show at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach, CA.
