The Beards Releases New Music Video in Preparation for United States Tour

The A.V. Club has premiered a new music video from Australia's leading pro-beard rockers, The Beards. The video is for "The Beard Accessory Store," an ominous tale of a bearded shop owner who is forced out of business and driven to the edge when his customer-base adopts the increasingly popular practice of shaving.

The group, which includes Johann Beardraven (vocals, keyboards, and saxophone), John Beardman Jnr(drums), Nathaniel Beard (bass guitar/vocals) and Facey McStubblington (guitars/vocals), will return to North America this fall for the Beards Across America Tour. Hitting select cities across the U.S. and Canada, The Beards will pick up from where they left off this past spring, which saw them uniting the bearded and ostracizing the clean-shaven at SXSW and Canadian Music Week. "[We] didn't know there were so many great songs about facial hair, or that there were people that passionate about it," acknowledged the Austin American Statesman, who named The Beards' show at Austin, Texas' City Hall one of their favorite moments of SXSW.

Last month, The Beards observed World Beard Day with a headlining set at an all beard event in Sydney. Video of the full performance is now available online and is packed with such classic Beard anthems as "No Beard, No Good," "Born With A Beard," and "You Should Consider Having Sex With A Bearded Man."
