Downstairs Cabaret Theatre is pleased to announce Peter & Will Anderson Trio: Monday, May 23, 2016 at 7:00pm.

The Peter & Will Anderson Trio are one of the most exciting sibling teams performing in music today. They are most known for their ingenious arrangements of American jazz classics and fresh original music.

Peter and Will have headlined at The Blue Note, The Kennedy Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Sarasota Florida Jazz Festival, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Seattle's Triple Door, South Carolina's Jazz Corner, Miami-Dade's Cultural Arts Center , Arizona Music Festival and Iowa's Bix Beiderbecke Festival. Their ensemble has performed in over 30 U.S. states, and toured Japan. They have also been featured four times in NYC's famed "Highlights of Jazz" series alongside legends Paquito D'Rivera, Lou Donaldson and Wycliffe Gordon.

Originally from Washington DC, they were selected as teenagers for Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead, the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra, and NFAA Young Artists. Peter and Will attended the Julliard School in New York City where they currently live. They have appeared with the Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Jazz @ Lincoln Center Orchestra, Jimmy Heath Big Band, and Bob Wilber Sextet. Peter and Will's 2012 release for Smalls records, Correspondence, features Kenny Barron and was listed in Vanity Fair magazine alongside Miles Davis in "Four New Releases to Make You Love Jazz".

Performances will take place at the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre, 3450 Winton Place, Brighton-Henrietta: May 23, 2016 at 7:00pm. Convenient free parking is available. Ticket prices are $20 general admission (discounts are available for selected performances for seniors age 60+; groups of 10+; full-time students; military personnel; and current DCT members). Seating is reserved for parties of five or more and DCT members of $100.00 or more. The show runs 1 hour 45 minutes with an intermission.
