Multi-platinum-selling Irish band The Coronas are getting ready to bring their infectious live concerts to North America with shows beginning November 4 in Toronto followed by dates across the U.S. The band are currently completing their European and UK tour all in support of their fifth album, TRUST THE WIRE, which became The Coronas' first-ever #1 album it topped the Irish music charts in its first week of release in June.

"Real Feel," the anthemic second track on the album, is being played on more than 50 AAA and Alternative radio stations throughout the U.S., and the high energy video for it is nearing 140,000 views on YouTube. This week, The Coronas are releasing their third single in Ireland, the poignant track called "Give Me A Minute," with GlideMagazine.com premiering the new video for it today:

"I love the sentiment in the song," explains Coronas front man Danny O'Reilly. "It's a simple lyric about how it's alright not to feel okay sometimes, and how important it is to stop and give yourself some credit at times. Sonically, it turned out quite powerful. Our producer Eliot James didn't change too much from the original demo, just slight improvements here and there." It is O'Reilly's favorite song from the album.
The video, shot in different scenic locations around Dublin, was directed by John Broe, who has directed the last two Coronas videos for "Real Feel" and "We Couldn't Fake It." Roisin O is the producer on all three videos.

"John Broe, our director, came up with the concept of the video," says O'Reilly. "He thought it should look cinematic, but sincere." As John Broe further explains: "We wanted to start the video with a lone Danny performing the song in some beautiful scenic parts of Ireland, so we brought him around Leinster, to the Wicklow Mountains, to an Ancient Pygmy Oak forest in Kildare, the shorelines of Wicklow/Dublin and to where the grand canal meets the river Liffey in Dublin City at night. This lonely figure is juxtaposed with 'the door' in the video showing us relationships: "my everything is so much nicer with you in it" is the lyric. The rest of the band were asked to appear with loved ones as well as other family members and friends appearing behind the door (which is actually Danny's parents home!). We see married couples, same sex couples, best friends, mothers, children, grandmothers, sisters. Eventually, we see Danny running to the same door to see who is behind it for him."

Shooting the video in lovely locations around Dublin was a piece of cake for O'Reilly after Broe had him submerged in water for the "We Couldn't Fake It" video.
