Award-winning Canadian jazz pianist, vocalist and songwriter Laila Biali, who has toured with Suzanne Vega, Chris Botti and Paula Cole, recorded with and supported Sting, and played all over the world at Tokyo's Cotton Club, Peru's El Festival Internacional de Lima, and Carnegie Hall in New York City, will be taking over SubCulture for a residency in May!

Each performance features leading musicians from the New York scene including saxophonist John Ellis, vocalist Jo Lawry and violinist Zach Brock. These shows will be the NYC debut of REQUESTOMATIC, which means that anyone planning to attend one of these shows can request any song - old or new - for her to arrange just for them. Email requests to requestomatic@lailabiali.com. (Up to 2 brand new selections will be arranged per show.)www.lailabiali.com Tix: $15/advance and $18/at the door.
