Kanisha K's New Single 'Bring Me Home' Closing In on Top 10

Kanisha K's (www.kanishakmusic.com) unstoppable summer hit "Bring Me Home" is closing in on the Top 10 of the FMQB AC40 Chart with its jump this week from #13 to #11, just above the latest hits from Magic! and American Authors and on the heels of Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran and Justin Timberlake.

The track, the follow up to the emerging pop songstress's breakthrough hit "My Another Day," also inches up to #36 on the BDS (Broadcast Data Systems) chart-- which reports Billboard A/C activity-- just below Richard Marx, Neon Trees and O.A.R. "Bring Me Home" is currently at #26 on the BDS AC Indicator chart, just behind Sarah McLachlan, Coldplay, O.A.R. and Sara Bareilles.

On July 29, Kanisha K was interviewed on "Midwest Beat with Tom Lounges"(http://lakeshorepublicmedia.org/rising-rb-star-kanisha-k-gets-her-groove-on/) promoting her August 1 performance at the Gary Southshore Railcats Vs. Kansas City T-bones baseball game (where she also threw out the first pitch) and her upcoming performance in The Lakeshore Public Radio Free Entertainment Tent at the Lake County Fair in Crown Point, Indiana on Thursday, August 7. As part of R&B/Pop Night, Kanisha K will be headlining on a bill with the Michael Turner Band; Turner is the touring saxophonist with The Ohio Players.

In other exciting Kanisha K news, "Bring Me Home" is currently playing in Forever 21 women's clothing stores nationwide.

The Holland, Mich.-based artist will be featured at H.O.M.E. at the B.O.B. in Grand Rapids on August 28 (thebob.com/homelivemusic.php), which is affiliated with the willplayforfoodfoundation.org.

The fast-rising artist also recently snagged a second Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) in the category of Best Pop Song for her tune "Stupid Boyfriend." Previously, she had earned a nomination in the same category for "MyAnother Day."

"Bring Me Home" was produced by Larry King (Soleil Moon- lead vocalist in theMichael Thompson Band & Larry King Orchestra). The track features some of Chicago's top musicians, including John Blasucci on keyboards, Khari Parker on drums, Lamar Jones on bass and guitarist Chris Siebold.

The track was engineered and mixed by Grammy Award winner Craig Bauer, whose credits include Kanye West, The O'Jays, 98 Degrees, Richard Marx, Styx, Dave Koz, Public Enemy, Brian Culbertson, Nick Carter, Straight No Chaser and others.
