Breaking Glass Pictures has annouced today's November 27 DVD release of Simon Chung's SPEECHLESS (SRP $24.99). Speechless is a love story encompassed in a mystery where the past is never left behind, and love can flourish even without words. The film was acquired during the 2012 Cannes Film Market.

In a remote part of southern China, a mysterious Westerner appears on a riverbank, completely naked. Taken to the local police station and afterwards to the hospital, he refuses to speak. While the doctors soon move on, the hospital's orderly, Jiang, befriends the stranger. When Jiang learns that the Westerner is about to be transferred to a mental asylum, he decides to rescue him and takes him to his uncle's village. There, he accidentally discovers a secret that provides a key to the mysterious stranger's past...

"Speechless speaks volumes long after it's done," hailed Black Sheep Reviews. The film screened this year at Philadelphia QFest to a packed house, as well as FilmOut San Diego, InsideOut Toronto, and the London LGBT Film Festival.
