John O'Hara Named EVP, Warner Bros Brand Networks

Veteran and highly-respected advertising sales executive John O'Hara has been named Executive Vice President, Warner Bros. Brand Networks, where he will oversee all operations of the media sales department, handling national advertising time for first-run and off-network television programming distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, it was announced today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution.
Among the first-run series in which O'Hara and his team will sell national barter advertising time and work to develop innovative marketing opportunities include "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," "TMZ," "bethenny," "Judge Mathis," "The People's Court" and "Extra." Among the off-net series include "The Big Bang Theory," "Two and a Half Men," "Friends" and "The Middle."Based in New York, O'Hara will report to Ken Werner, President, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. "John is a smart and strategic executive whose knowledge and creativity in media sales, advertising and integrated marketing will truly elevate our Brand Networks group in our mission to deliver unique, out-of-the-box opportunities for our advertising clients," said Schlesinger.
O'Hara joins Warner Bros. from sister company Turner Broadcasting where he worked for 24 years, most recently as executive vice president and general manager, Young Adults Ad Sales, managing ad sales on behalf of truTV, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim.
