Anne Hathaway is the recipient of this year's Screen Actor's Guild award for 'Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role' for her role as 'Fantine' in Tom Hooper's adaptation of LES MISERABLES.

Hathaway, who was also won a Golden Globe for the role, beat out Maggie Smith in THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL, Sally Field in LINCOLN, Helen Hunt in THE SESSIONS, and Nicole Kidman in THE PAPERBOY.

Her other notable credits include 'Batman: The Dark Night Rises' 'The Princess Diaries,' 'Brokeback Mountain,' 'The Devil Wears Prada,' 'Becoming Jane,' 'Alice in Wonderland,' and 'Rachel Getting Married,' for which she was nominated for an Academy Award.

LES MISERABLES was also nominated for two other awards, including Hugh Jackman for 'Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Leading Role' and the entire cast for 'Outstanding Performance By A Cast In A Motion Picture.'

Helmed by The King's Speech's Academy Award-winning director, Tom Hooper, the Working Title/Cameron Mackintosh production stars Hugh Jackman, Oscar winner Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Aaron Tveit, Samantha Barks, with Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen.

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, LES MISERABLES tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, Sacrifice and redemption-a timeless Testament to the survival of the human spirit. Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for Decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe) after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine's (Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.
