2014 Latino/a Queer Arts & Film Festival Calls for Entries
The Latino/a Queer Arts & Film Festival (April 10 - April 13, 2014), presented by LA Gay & Lesbian Center and the LQAFF Advisory Board, announces its Call for Entries in all categories, including feature-length films, documentaries, shorts, theatrical monologues, fine art and experimental works.
Submission period begins February 5, 2014. Latino/a Queer Arts & Film Festival 2014 Film Entry Form is available for download at http://lqaff.com/submission-2014.
Shorts, features, and student film submissions must be postmarked no later than February 14, 2014 for the regular deadline. Submissions for the extended deadline should be postmarked no later than March 1, 2014. No works in progress will be accepted. Final program determinations will be made by March 15, 2014. No early or late entries will be accepted.
Professional and amateur filmmakers working in all aesthetic disciplines and genres including narrative, documentary, animation and experimental are welcome.
The Latina/o Queer Arts & Film Festival showcases the stories of queer, trans, two-spirited, Latino/a, Chicano/a, and brown identities through film and visual arts in a space that builds on our rich and diverse cultural history.
This three day celebration of art and film will include a launch party, art installation, series of solo performance, feature films, documentaries, short films, food, music, networking opportunities, Q&A's with filmmakers and featured cast members. Films selected to screen at the Latino/a Queer Arts & Film Festival will be shown out-of-competition. LQAFF is not a competitive festival.
