SRO, New York City's only pizza speakeasy, will introduce an à la carte menu for the summer, including new Neapolitan pizza creations from owner and world champion pizzaiolo Giulio Adriani, and a limited reservation system, effective immediately.

Situated in an inconspicuous 12-table room behind an invisible door accessed through 334 Bowery (near Bond St.), SRO has consistently been one of New York City's most popular and sought after restaurants since opening in January. Through the winter and early spring months of 2015, SRO served a three-course tasting menu with drinks pairings for a fixed price of $38 per person, but due to high demand for an à la carte menu of their Neapolitan style pizzas, SRO will now also begin serving their acclaimed, artfully-crafted Neapolitan pizzas with prices starting at $14 per pie.

SRO is Adriani's test kitchen, where guests are able to enjoy the pizza maker's unique culinary creations in a convivial, intimate setting. For summer 2015, he will introduce delicious, seasonal pies with toppings like the "First Ave." (bufala mozzarella, ricotta, sun gold tomatoes, and basil); the "Second Ave." (anchovies, fresh Sicilian oregano, bufala mozzarella, and cherry tomatoes); and the Bleecker (nduja spicy sausage, sheep-milk ricotta , caciocavallo and San Marzano tomatoes). The menu will also include staples like the classic Margherita (San Marzano tomatoes, housemade mozzarella, basil, parmesan, extra virgin olive oil) and Adriani's famous fried Montanara (Vesuvio cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, parmesan), and favorites like the "SRO" (spicy lamb sausage, caramelized onions, stracchino cheese and mozzarella), and the "Prince St." (gorgonzola, fontina, parmesan, mozzarella, and truffle honey).

The $38 three-course tasting menu will continue to be available as an option for guests who would like to include an appetizer, dessert and beverage pairings.

Due to the overwhelming number of reservations, SRO will now function on a limited reservation system, accepting walk-ins, effective immediately. For groups of eight or more, SRO will accept reservations pending availability.

SRO patrons can now utilize the "No Vacancy" sign on Bowery to signal when the pizzeria is at capacity or has available seating.

SRO, which stands for Single Room Occupancy, gives a nod to the Bowery of yore, when low-income housing lined the infamous row; bands like The Ramones, Talking Heads and Blondie played at the now-defunct CBGBs; and neighborhood restaurants were discovered word of mouth.

Follow SRO on Instagram @sropizza, Twitter @SROpizza and Facebook @SRO. Reservations can be made via email at reservations@sropizza.com, the official website www.sropizza.com, or calling (212) 466-3301.
