Nutella hazelnut spread celebrates International Pancake Tuesday today with a party for its fans in New York City.

Ferrero U.S.A., Inc., the makers of Nutella, has teamed-up with Dominique Ansel, chef and owner of Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York City and creator of the Cronut, to create a special limited edition Nutella Pancake Coneespecially made for this event. This delicious creation is available in limited supply for today only* and will be distributed by Chef Ansel himself throughout the event*.

"There's something about Nutella that goes beyond just the flavors of hazelnut and cocoa, but has an emotion that brings me right back to my childhood. It is always a fun inspiration for new creations. I am thrilled to partner with Nutella again and put a creative spin on the traditional pancake for today's International Pancake Tuesday celebration," says Dominique Ansel.

Beginning at 11 a.m. ET at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal, fans in New York City will also enjoy complimentary samples of Nutella paired with pancakes*, a custom pancake bar, and a photo opportunity to help fans show their love for Nutella on social media.

"Last year we celebrated our 50 th anniversary and were humbled by the way our fans showed their passion and love for the Nutella brand. This year we looked for another way to celebrate with them, and since Nutella makes pancakes extra special, we found International Pancake Tuesday to be the perfect opportunity to do so. We are looking forward to celebrating this special day with our fans by offering complimentary samples of pancakes with Nutella and a special creation made by Dominique Ansel especially for this event," says the Senior Brand Manager for Nutella at Ferrero U.S.A., Inc.

International Pancake Tuesday comes off the heels of the celebration for the 50 th anniversary of Nutella that was held in May 2014 near Madison Square Park in New York City where hundreds of fans enjoyed Cronut holes made with Nutella made by Chef Dominique Ansel.

About Nutella
Nutella was created in 1964 thanks to Mr. Michele Ferrero; it was based on the recipe for Giandujot developed in 1946 by his father, Pietro Ferrero confectioner and founder of Ferrero in Italy's Piedmont area. Nowadays, the popular hazelnut spread with cocoa is available in approximately 160 countries worldwide. Introduced to the US market in 1983, it has since become the number one selling branded hazelnut spread in America. Last year, Nutella celebrated its 50 th anniversary.
