This weekend, Coco Taps (http://www.cocotaps.com/), a coconut water beverage system company, brings branded and tapped baby coconuts to supply Bacardi for the Life is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas. This is the second year Coco Taps has presented its tapped drinkable coconuts, with Breakthru Beverage Nevada, at the festival, an annual celebration of music, art, food, and culture. Breakthru Beverage Nevada is a distributor of fine wine, spirits and beer.

Coco Taps will use its Coco Taps Tool Kit to tap over 3,000 fresh coconuts at the Bacardi booth at the festival, making them ready for an injection of Bacardi Coconut Rum. The Coco and Rum cocktail is available at the Bacardi Neon Tiki Bar.

"Breakthru Beverage Nevada is happy to bring Bacardi and Coco Taps together to offer festival goers a refreshing and delicious rum cocktail to match the Life is Beautiful entertainment line-up," Drew Levinson, director of strategic activation for Breakthru Beverage Nevada, said. "We wish everyone "cheers" for a fun weekend."

Coco Love and Life is Beautiful
"Coco Taps and Bacardi are spreading the coco love with our fresh-tapped Rum and Cocos branded with "Life is Beautiful," Vincent Zaldivar, chief coconut-in-charge of Coco Taps, said. "Our cocos will keep people cool for a fun and uplifting festival in our home town."

The Coco Taps Tool Kit includes a tapper tool and reusable cap for drinking directly from the coconut and storing it. Tapped and sealed coconuts can be refrigerated for more than two weeks.

Fresh Coconut Water Has High Nutritional Value
A one cup serving of unpasteurized fresh coconut water is naturally low in sugar and calories. It contains 45.6 calories, 6.3 grams of sugar, 2.6 grams of fiber and includes 600 milligrams of potassium and other nutrients, according to the USDA (https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/3665?manu=&fgcd=).

"Drinking straight from a tapped unpasteurized coconut gives people a refreshing tasty drink with high nutritional value," Zaldivar said. "The food industry now has an easy way to prepare, refrigerate and serve fresh natural coconut water," Zaldivar added.
