Savoury, on the Upper West Side, is known for traditional and modern Indian food with a delightful menu created by Executive Chef Lala Sharma. One element that makes the stylish restaurant special is their spacious, comfortable bar space located past the front dining area. Savoury serves fine wines, sparkling, beer selections and delicious small bites.

Stop by after work or with friend to relax and enjoy their "Chor Bazaar" bar menu. Have their Shrimp Podicherry, succulent shrimp in a tangy sauce or the Murg Kulca, Indian bread stuffed with tender chicken, onions herbs and spices. Choices like tender lamb chops or Chicken Tikka Masala can be easily paired with a drink.

Beer choices include Indian favorites, Kingfisher, Taj Mahal and 1947. Savoury's serves reds, whites, sparkling and dessert wines by the glass or the bottle and there with some moderately priced selections. And there is an impressive Riesling collection as the character of the wine's sweetness balances the taste of spicier Indian dishes.

The Sharma family welcomes you to Savoury with especially gracious service. When visiting, be sure to ask for pairing recommendations. Servers are happy to help you select just the right beer or wine.

Savoury is located at 489 Columbus Avenue (between 83rd & 84th Streets) in New York City. Call 212875-1400 for reservations or visit www.savourynyc.com to learn about their menu and to get more information.
