Review: OCEAN PRIME in Midtown Offers a Wonderful Pre-Theatre Prix Fixe and So Much More

Ocean Prime on West 52nd Street now offers the ideal prix fixe pre-theatre menu that will make your evening shine as bright as a your favorite show. We stopped by on a Saturday evening and enjoyed the three-course pre-theatre Surf & Turf special for $55 that has options to please every taste. Guests can enjoy this dinner option Tuesday-Sunday before 6:30 pm and easily make their curtain. It is also a great dining destination after your matinee performance. Ocean Prime is perfectly situated for Broadway shows, Radio City, 59E59 Theaters and museum guests of MOMA.

Start your meal off right with one of their house specialty cocktails like the Whiskey Clover, their Berries & Bubbles or a classic Martini. A great selection of beer and fine wines make for easy pairings with your meal.

The prix fixe menu allows you to indulge in all your favorites. Choose from a first course that includes French Onion Soup, Caesar Salad or their wonderful House Salad with romaine, field greens, granny smith apples, goat cheese walnuts and Sherry Mustard Vinaigrette. The second course is a tender 8-ounce Filet Mignon with a delectable "surf" like Shrimp Scampi, Crab Cake or Sea Scallops. Be creative as you select the perfect side. Potatoes prepared Jalapeno Au Gratin or Whipped, Truffle Mac & Cheese, Steamed Broccoli, Chophouse Corn or a steakhouse favorite, Creamed Spinach are all on the menu. Wonderfully seasoned and beautifully presented, your meal at Ocean Prime is a spectacular dining event. And there's even a treat to go, their signature truffle popcorn to enjoy during intermission at the theatre.
