New England Ballet Company and The Bijou Theatre are kicking off their 2014-2015 Children's Series with a performance of Peter and The Wolf.

A musical fairy tale by Sergei Prokofiev and choreography by Victor Trevino. The story comes to life with a cast of 10 characters - all represented by instruments: Peter by the Strings; Bird by the Flute; Duck by the Oboe; Cat by the Clarinet; Grandfather by the Bassoon; Wolf by the French Horn and the Hunters by the Timpani (Kettle Drum).

Suitable for children and families of all ages. As the only ballet with narration, this performance is a wonderful way to introduce dance to young children! It's combination of vibrant costumes, entertaining choreography and lively story about a clever young boy outwitting a hungry wolf with the help of his animal friends will surely put smiles on everyone's faces.

Children will get the chance to meet the dancers after the show and have their photo taken with their favorite characters.

Sunday September 28th at 3pm Tickets $20 Box office 203-332-3228 or www.thebijoutheatre.com
