Dance Pizazz and Serious Dancers alike know that endurance is important. Running is a great way to achieve higher endurance. Running also decreases blood pressure, improves mental health, strengthens your lungs, and relieves stress. With an excess of the rain across nation it's currently incredibly humid outside. Running in the humidity should be done with extreme precaution. There are several benefits to running in humidity, but only with an awareness of the health concerns. That is why Dance Pizazz wants to share the following facts:

Humidity and Heat together hinder the release of heat from the body. This causes a rise in core temperature. High core temperature increases heart rate and can make an easy-paced run feel like a sprint. Humidity also causes moving air to no longer evaporate sweat from the skin which adds to the endless cycle of elevated pressure on the heart.

Running at a consistently elevated heart rate can lead to over-training as the body struggles to recover between runs that require increased effort.

Running in Humidity can be dangerous. It must be done with precaution. Training by feel is the best way to stay safe. Training by feel means running based on heartrate and fatigue rather than pace. Finding shade and breeze can also lesson the effects of the humidity.

Dance Pizazz and their serious dancers know that endurance leads to better dancing. That is why Dance pizazz believes in practicing safety wile training. Check
