Snackers and chocolate aficionados rejoice. Today Mars Chocolate North America introduced an irresistible new addition to the DOVE Chocolate lineup: DOVE Fruit.

Combining the delectable flavors of real fruit with the silky smooth taste of America's #1 DOVE Dark Chocolate 1, this mouth-watering new treat comes in cranberry, cherry, and blueberry three of the top-selling fruits on the market 2. DOVE Fruit is available at retailers nationwide in two different sizes: 2.83-ounces (SRP: $1.99-$2.59) and 6.0-ounces (SRP: $3.59-$4.79). A special 26-ounce bag is also available at select warehouse stores for the suggested retail price of $10.89.

"We're excited to add this real-fruit snacking option to the DOVE Chocolate family," said Kerry Cavanaugh, Director, DOVE Brand. "We know snackers and chocolate lovers have been clamoring for something like this. In fact, dark chocolate is the fastest growing category 3 in confections and fruit is the fastest growing snacking category, so it's the perfect combination and the perfect time."

DOVE unveiled the new addition to the line-up at a special fruit market in New York City's Grand Central Terminal earlier today. Visitors to the fruit market were treated to free samples of DOVE Fruit, special giveaways, as well as the chance to interact with Alex Guarnaschelli, who is the award winning executive chef at New York City's Butter restaurant, as well as a television personality who frequently appears on several Food Network and Cooking Show programs including Chopped, Iron Chef America and Alex's Day Off.

The DOVE Chocolate Difference
From bean to bar, Mars takes great care to maintain the highest standards of quality when manufacturing DOVE Chocolate.

It all starts with only the best cacao beans, which are tested twice by expert Mars technicians for quality and flavor. The beans are then taken through special roasting and grinding techniques to create the signature silky smooth taste of DOVE Chocolate. Finally, Mars adds the perfect combination of chocolate liquor and 100 percent pure cocoa butter to create a balanced taste that's not too sweet, nor too bitter.
