Seattle and part-time desert resident, Ter Gallagher performs her new cabaret style concert, "The Art Of Getting Dumped", on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Arthur Newman Theater at the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert as part of the Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series presented by Les Michaels. Ter, short for Terry, uses breaking-up songs and stories with a humorous outlook with a few touching ones thrown in. Local pianist Joel Baker and a trio will accompany Ms. Gallagher with a 2 PM show time and doors opening at 1 PM with $11 tickets available cash only at the door.

Ter Gallagher grew up in a religious family, and actually entered a convent before discovering that musical theater was her real calling. Classical trained, she's performed in musicals and even toured with an Afro-American Spiritual group throughout Canada. She attended the prestigious Yale Cabaret Conference, and in Seattle, performs regularly in cabaret venues, and as lead singer with a rock/blues band. In 2014 she performed her show "From Convent To Cabaret" also for Les Michaels cabaret series, now in it's 7th season. Recently, Ms. Gallagher was invited to San Diego's Horton Grand Hotel in July for the Cabaret Spotlight, and again in September at E Spot Lounge in Los Angeles with both shows produced by Clifford Bell, who is also the director for her October 9th show.
