Actor-writer-producer-stand-up comedian Paul Reiser, who currrently stars in the Oscar-nominated film "Whiplash," will do a comedy turn at the Gallo Center for the Arts on Saturday, March 7. Curtain is at 8 pm.

While best known as the creator and co-star of the hit television series "Mad About You," Reiser's film career has enjoyed a resurgence in two recent high profile movies. "Whiplash" has received five Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, for the upcoming 87th Annual Academy Awards. The comedian also appeared opposite Matt Damon and Michael Douglas in the Steven Soderbergh-directed "Behind The Candelabra," a 2013 HBO movie about pianist Liberace that won 11 primetime Emmys. His other films include "Diner," "Bye, Bye Love," "The Marrying Man," "Aliens," "One Night at McCool's" and "Beverly Hills Cop (1 and 2).

Reiser's successes also include his book "Couplehood," which sold more than 2 million copies and reached #1 on The New York Times bestseller list and "Babyhood," featuring his trademark humorous take on the adventures of being a first-time father, which also made The New York Times bestseller list. His third book, "Familyhood," hit the shelves in 2011.
