Kevin McDonald Appears This Weekend at Detroit's Go Comedy!

Go Comedy!, Detroit's award winning improv theater, will welcome Kids In The Hallco-founder Kevin McDonald to Detroit today and tomorrow, July 20 & 21 for a 2-day comedy workshop intensive and a special performance.

Improvisers, comedians and writers from across metro Detroit will converge at Go Comedy! for a sold-out 2-day comedy workshop intensive July 20 & 21. The workshop will be lead by Kids In The Hall co-founder Kevin McDonald. McDonald will then take the stage Sunday night, July 21 at 8:00pmfor a special performance featuring work from the intensive, stand up comedians Mike Bobbit and Saurin Choksi and local improv troupe The Mighty They. Tickets for the July 21st performance are $25 and on sale now at www.gocomedy.net.

In 1984, McDonald, along with his friend, Dave Foley, founded The Kids In The Hall. The troupe debuted their eponymous TV show in 1988. Over the show's seven-year run, he portrayed several popular recurring characters, such as the King of Empty Promises, Sir Simon Milligan, and Jerry Sizzler. Post-KITH, Kevin has appeared in many roles, including Arrested Development, Seinfeld, and Friends. He has also done voice work for shows such as Invader Zim, Clerks: THe Animated Series and Lilo & Stitch.
