Comedian, actor, producer and rapper Mike Epps will celebrate the New Year by bringing his comedy act to The Orleans Showroom Jan. 1-2.

Epps began his stand-up career in 1995 when he joined the "Def Comedy Jam" tour. Impressed by Epps' command of the stage, actor and rapper Ice Cube asked him to audition for the role of Day-Day Jones in the movie "Next Friday," which launched Epps' movie career.

Following his "Next Friday" breakthrough, Epps appeared in "Resident Evil: Apocalypse," "Resident Evil: Extinction" and "The Hangover." Epps was also active on the comedy scene, introducing the world to new comedic talent with "Mike Epps Presents..." and releasing a stand-up comedy special titled "Under Rated...Never Faded & X-Rated" in 2009. He also released the comedy rap album "Funny Bidness: Da Album," featuring legendary rappers Snoop Dogg, Young Jeezy, Flo Rida and more.

Currently, Epps can be seen as Uncle Julius on the Starz series "Survivor's Remorse." The show follows basketball star Cam Calloway, played by Jessie T. Usher, after he signs a multi-million dollar professional basketball contract. Epps' character attempts to keep the family on track with his wisdom following the deal.

On Dec. 18, Epps' most recent stand-up comedy special "Don't Take It Personally" will premiere on Netflix. He was also tapped to play Uncle Buck in the ABC series reboot of the same-titled 1989 classic, originally starring John Candy. "Uncle Buck" is slated to premiere in early 2016. Additionally, Epps will play Richard Pryor in the upcoming film "Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said?" joining a star-studded cast that includes Eddie Murphy, Tracy Morgan and Oprah Winfrey.

The show begins at 8 p.m. both nights. Tickets are available starting from $40, plus tax and fees. Tickets can be purchased at any Boyd Gaming Box Office by calling 702.284.7777 or visiting www.orleanscasino.com.
