The Morris Museum is proud to announce its newest exhibition, The Fashionable Child: 200 Years of Dressing Our Children. On view from August 1 through November 29, 2015, the show will explore the history of children's fashion from the early 1800s to the present.

Featuring exquisite objects from the Morris Museum's collections, visitors will be delighted and charmed by designs for play days, holidays, and everything in between. The Fashionable Child will include more than fifty outfits ranging from special occasion wear and christening gowns to playwear, sleepwear, and outerwear. Children's accessories will include a variety of bonnets of different sizes, straw hats, and caps, as well as shoes ranging from spats to saddle shoes to Mary Janes. In addition to the lovingly preserved outfits, the exhibition will also feature a variety of toys, baby quilts, children's dishes, feeding utensils, and children's furniture.

"The Museum has a rich history of presenting exhibitions that showcase fashion," said Linda Moore, Executive Director of the Morris Museum. "We are delighted to be able to continue that tradition with this enchanting show featuring costumes for the youngest members of society."
