Neo-Political Cwogirls to Present World Premiere of ANDROMEDA

Kate Mueth and the Neo-Political Cowgirls announce their upcoming world premiere production of Andromeda, August 25-28 at the Montauk County Park.

Presenting a cast of local Hamptons and NYC actors and puppets by award-winner Liz Joyce, Andromeda is a unique, outdoor, music-filled experience that is not to be missed. Set under the stars on The Edge of Montauk, an Ethiopian girl and her mother are in search of home. Their journey takes them to a strange village where danger and magic set in. Here, Andromeda struggles to find her voice, friendship, and sisterhood. But ultimately the challenge of being a refugee and an "other" is just too much, and she is in danger of never fitting into her true place in the world. Join the Neo-Political Cowgirls on their newest journey and discover how Andromeda finds her place in the stars.

Bring a blanket, lawn chairs, and a picnic and immerse yourself in the dance, music, and puppets from the wild imagination of The Neo-Political Cowgirls. Andromeda will be performed at the Montauk County Park (next to Deep Hollow Ranch out towards the Lighthouse). All performances begin at 7:30. Tickets are available at http://www.npcowgirls.org. Kate Mueth: Actor, Director, Choreographer Kate Mueth founded her award winning The Neo-Political Cowgirls in 2007 to help fill the dearth of women's voices and opportunities on the American stage. Since then, NPC has staged a multitude of newly conceived, rule- breaking Theater Productions that have engaged and excited theatergoers from their home base in East Hampton, NY, to Berlin and New York City's Off-Broadway.
