Theater 2020 "Visions for a New Millennium" (theater2020.com) Brooklyn Heights resident professional theater company continues their popular "Hearthside Reading Series" with a FREE world premiere reading of Lynn Marie Macy's one act comedy "Carlton House, Jane Austen and the Prince Regent." on Saturday, October 11th at 3pm.

This two character, one act play based partly on Jane Austen's actual correspondence, is a comic exploration of the day Jane Austen visited the Royal Palace and was requested to dedicate her next novel to the Prince Regent, who would go on to become King George IV. This event marked the highest distinction Austen's work received during her lifetime! The cast features veteran actors Greg Horton & Paula Hoza.

Lynn Marie Macy is a playwright originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her published plays include Northanger Abbey, A Romantic Gothic Comedy, Crunching Numbers, and a new adaptation/translation of Schiller's Intrigue and Love, which is slated for publication in 2014. Macy is currently Resident Playwright at Theater 2020 in Brooklyn Heights, NY and an Associate Member of the Dramatists' Guild. Macy will give a brief seminar before the reading.
