Lemon Anderson Performs at MetroTech Commons' Annual Tree Lighting Today

The holiday season comes alive at MetroTech Commons today, December 2, at 5:30 p.m. Join Forest City Ratner Companies Executive Chairman Bruce Ratner and President and CEO MaryAnne Gilmartin for the 24th annual MetroTech tree lighting with Santa Claus, Shaun Livingston of the Brooklyn Nets and a performance from Tony Award-winning poet and playwright Lemon Andersen.

Residents and visitors will enjoy festive carols from the Brooklyn Tech High School Chorus and take pictures with friends, family and neighbors in the holiday-inspired photo booth. To warm up, there will be hot chocolate and cookies courtesy of Luciano's and coffee provided by Starbucks.

The event is free and open to the public.

WHEN: Monday, December 2, 2013 at 5:30 p.m.

WHERE: MetroTech Commons, in front of 2 MetroTech Center. MetroTech Center is located in Downtown Brooklyn between Jay Street and Flatbush Avenue, and Willoughby Street and Tech Place.
