On Sunday, December 4, 2016, from 2-5pm, Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC) will celebrate 50 years of supporting artists and bringing affordable arts experiences to Brooklyn at AccessArt, an affordable art sale and benefit at Usagi NY in DUMBO.

For the past half-century, BAC has provided and facilitated educational arts experiences for children and seniors, produced and presented folk and traditional arts performances, and hosted professional development and technical assistance workshops for artists. This event will recognize our decades of service and will offer an opportunity for art lovers to purchase affordable artworks for their collections as well as for holiday gifts. All work featured at AccessArt is donated. The proceeds from artwork sales will benefit BAC's programs and services, which serve and support Brooklyn's artists.

AccessArt will take place on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 2-5pm at Usagi NY, located at 163 Plymouth Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn.

The event will feature snacks, artisanal cocktails, and the opportunity to view and to purchase affordable artwork. Works will be priced at $350 a piece.

A wide range of donated works from both well-known and emerging Brooklyn visual artists will be available at an affordable price point with all proceeds directly supporting BAC's programs and services.

By creating and supporting exciting cultural events and platforms for Brooklynites,Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC) provides forums for critical thinking and self-expression for young people and adults, enriches Brooklyn's cultural landscape, and generates engaging experiences that expand horizons.
