AMERICAN CANDY: Back in the Day!! 8pm March 17 and 18, 2017

Hilarious Sketch Comedy Performance. At the Actors Fund Arts Center in Downtown Brooklyn. House Music, Blaxploitation Films, Three's Company, Rock Star Groupies, Disco, Catsuits and every other ridiculous thing from our childhoods is BACK!!!!

AMERICAN CANDY is bringing you an exciting new sketch comedy show this month at the Actors Fund Arts Center on Friday and Saturday the 17th and 18th. Back in the Day combines brand new original live sketches along with very funny videos and witty songs.

AMERICAN CANDY is a fresh and edgy take on sketch comedy. Led by a Hollie Harper and written and performed by women and men of different ethnicities, AMERICAN CANDY defies the boring stereotypes of traditional comedy groups while being hilarious and accessible to a wide audience. Building on the foundation of its highly popular live shows in Brooklyn, AMERICAN CANDY has branched out into musical comedy and short video sketches (visit YouTube.com/theAMERICANCANDY), and has a pilot being shopped to network TV.

Chris Rock has said "AMERICAN CANDY just might be the funniest show I've ever seen."

AMERICAN CANDY has been playing to extremely receptive and loyal audiences in Manhattan and Brooklyn for eight years. Past themes have included The Fempire Strikes Back, The History of Sex, The Super 70s, Very Foreign Affairs and Back to School. Up next is a night at BRIC's Stoop Series in April and a July show at WNYC's The Greene Space. AMERICAN CANDY has become a comedy institution in New York City.

With a $25 ticket price that includes the pre-show complimentary wine reception, AMERICAN CANDY is the best entertainment value in New York City! Most shows do sell out, so advanced reservations are strongly recommended. There is $5 discount for ordering before March 10.

Tickets may be purchased here: www.acbackintheday.eventbrite.com. The beautiful state of the art Actors Fund Arts Center is conveniently located at 160 Schermerhorn Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Show time is 8pm both nights and the house opens 45 minutes prior to curtain for the reception.
